Terms of Service
Effective October 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of BopLift at boplift.com. By connecting an account or using BopLift, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not connect an account or use the service.
What BopLift does
BopLift reads playlists you select on Spotify, searches YouTube for matching videos, and creates and populates a playlist in your connected YouTube account. It also shows transfer progress and lets you save preferred video matches for future transfers. Transfer history and saved matches expire after 28 days and are removed by an hourly cleanup. BopLift does not download or copy audio files, and transferring a playlist does not change your source Spotify playlist.
YouTube and other services
BopLift uses YouTube API Services. By using BopLift, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Your use of Spotify is also subject to the applicable Spotify Terms of Use. You must comply with the terms of each connected service. BopLift is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify, Google, or YouTube.
Connected accounts and your instructions
Only connect accounts you own or are authorized to use. You authorize BopLift to use the permissions you grant to carry out the features you request, including completing transfers in the background and using your saved matches in later transfers. BopLift does not ask for your Spotify or Google password; authorization takes place through those services.
Starting a transfer instructs BopLift to create a new YouTube playlist using the name and visibility you select and add matching videos to it. Private is the default visibility. Selecting public or unlisted changes who can access the playlist under YouTube’s rules. Review these settings before starting and review the resulting matches before sharing.
Acceptable use and content rights
Use BopLift lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not use it to access accounts without permission, bypass service restrictions or API limits, disrupt the service, or carry out abusive or fraudulent activity. You remain responsible for the playlist information you submit and the actions you request.
You retain any rights you hold in your playlist information. Using BopLift does not give you ownership of, or additional rights to, music, videos, artwork, or other third-party content. Availability and playback of YouTube videos are controlled by YouTube and the relevant rights holders.
Matches, availability, and interrupted transfers
Automatic matches may select a different recording or miss a track. Videos can become unavailable, and provider limits, account permissions, outages, or API changes may delay or prevent a transfer. BopLift does not guarantee exact matches, uninterrupted availability, or completion of every transfer.
A stopped or failed transfer can leave a partially populated playlist on YouTube. Check its status before starting another transfer, which creates a new playlist. Saved corrections can affect future transfers without changing videos already added to an existing playlist.
Privacy, disconnecting, and deletion
The Privacy policy explains what BopLift accesses and stores, its retention practices, and how to request deletion. You can disconnect a service or delete your account through Privacy & data. New requests through a disconnected service are blocked immediately; work already sent to a provider may finish or leave a partial playlist. You can also revoke access directly through Google account permissions or Spotify account apps.
Disconnecting YouTube or detected revocation of Google authorization removes your transfer history and saved matches from BopLift. Disconnecting Spotify removes that local connection. You can delete your account and associated records through Privacy & data or request deletion by email. Deleting BopLift records does not delete playlists or videos on YouTube; manage those directly on YouTube.
Service changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, including when a provider changes its API or access requirements. We may restrict access when necessary to protect the service, address misuse, or comply with legal or provider requirements. You can stop using BopLift at any time and revoke its access to connected accounts.
Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BopLift is provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from service interruptions, incorrect matches, or changes made by third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date. We will identify material changes in the app before they take effect. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using BopLift and disconnect or revoke its access to your accounts.
