Before you transfer

BopLift matches tracks by song and artist name. Some recordings may be missing or different on the destination service. You can review the results and save a preferred recording for future transfers.

Your source playlist stays unchanged. YouTube destinations default to private. Spotify destinations default to not listed on your profile; anyone with the link can access them until you choose Make private in Spotify. No audio files are copied.

How playlist transfers work

  1. Review the terms and privacy policy, then connect your Spotify and YouTube accounts.
  2. Choose Spotify or YouTube as the source, pick a playlist, and set the destination name and visibility.
  3. Start the transfer and follow its progress. Open the destination playlist and review any missing or uncertain matches.
Will my original playlist change?

No. BopLift reads your source playlist and creates a separate playlist on the destination service. It does not remove or edit songs in the source playlist.

What if a song matches the wrong recording?

Open the transfer results and choose “Find a match” or “Improve future match.” You can search for another recording or paste a link to the right recording. A saved correction is available for future transfers for 28 days; it does not replace a recording already added to a playlist.

Does this create a YouTube Music playlist?

BopLift creates a playlist on YouTube using existing videos. It does not use a separate YouTube Music API or upload audio files.

Why did my transfer pause?

Spotify and YouTube limit API usage. When a transfer reaches an explicit quota or rate limit, BopLift saves its progress and schedules a retry. The status page shows when it can resume. If a write fails with an uncertain outcome, check the partial destination playlist before starting again.

How do I disconnect or delete my data?

When signed in, open Privacy & data to disconnect a service or delete your account. This removes BopLift data according to the privacy policy; playlists already created on either service remain under your control.

Why can't I connect Spotify?

Spotify access may be limited by the app's development-mode restrictions and your account's eligibility. If Spotify rejects the connection, contact privacy@boplift.com with the error message. Never send your password or authorization tokens.
